Each day,
tourists flock to the 89th floor observation deck at the top of Taipei 101 to
get a bird’s-eye view of the city and its nearby mountains. However, you can’t
truly say you’ve been to the top of Taipei 101 unless you go up to the deck on
the skyscraper’s roof.
This is an experience that not many have had,
as the top deck has been set aside for VIP guests, but it won’t remain this
way. In mid-June, it was announced that the top observation deck would soon
open to visitors for the first time in the building’s 15-year history. The tiny
platform has only enough space for 12 people to safely stand at a time.
Therefore, each day only three groups of 12 will be allowed on the roof for up
to 40 minutes.
