The Capsula Mundi burial pod is made of
natural, biodegradable materials, but its biggest feature is what will remain
above ground: a tree. A dead person is placed inside the egg-shaped capsule,
which is then buried in the ground, much like a seed.
A tree, which can be selected by the
deceased before death, is then planted over it. As it grows, the tree becomes a
living marker that family and friends can continue to care for.
蛋葬的埋葬容器是由天然並可被生物分解的原料製成，但其最大特色是會保留在陸地上的東西──一棵樹。往生者會被置於蛋狀的膠囊裡，接著會宛如一顆種子般地被掩埋至土裡。
