Huldufólk:The Legendary “Hidden People” of Iceland 隱身的傳說冰島精靈

From ghosts to unicorns to Santa Claus, people around the world believe in supernatural creatures. In Iceland, many people believe in the huldufólk—hidden people or elves. They are said to look much like people. However, they come in all sizes: from 30 centimeters to three meters tall.

Seers—those who have a connection to these elves—say humans tend to see only the smaller ones. In Icelandic folk stories, these elves, which can choose when to make themselves visible to people, live in a different world.
