Anna Netrebko, the superstar Russian
soprano, will no longer appear at the Metropolitan Opera this season or next
after failing to comply with the company’s demand that she distance herself
from President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia as he wages war on Ukraine.
在未能遵守歌劇公司的與對烏克蘭開戰的俄羅斯總統普廷保持距離的要求後，俄羅斯的超級巨星女高音安娜．涅翠布柯本季或下季將不再現身（美國紐約）大都會歌劇院。
The end of Ms. Netrebko’s engagements,
which the Met announced on Thursday, came after the opera company, citing
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, said it would no longer hire artists who support
Mr. Putin.
大都會歌劇院週四宣布終止與涅翠布柯女士的演出契約，此前該歌劇公司曾以俄羅斯入侵烏克蘭為由，表示將不再聘用支持普廷的藝術家。
While Ms. Netrebko has in recent days
issued statements critical of the war, she has remained silent on the Russian
president, whose re-election she has in the past endorsed.
儘管涅翠布柯女士近日曾發聲明批評這場戰爭，但她並未出言譴責普廷。涅翠布柯過去曾支持普廷競選連任。
