Nudists in Austria are up in arms about plans for a cable car that would pass over a popular beach on the northern edge of Vienna where clothing is optional.

Austria Press Agency on April 21 quoted nudist Barbara Hausjell saying she feared for her privacy if cable car users with cellphone cameras are allowed to swoop across the area.

Three California condors have died from avian flu in northern Arizona and authorities are trying to determine what killed five others in the flock, the National Park Service announced Friday.

美國國家公園管理局週五宣布，3隻加州神鷲（California condor）在亞利桑那州北部死於禽流感，當局正試圖確定是什麼原因殺死這群禿鷹中的另外5隻。

A sick female condor suspected of having lead poisoning was found dead on March 20 and testing showed it had Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), the park service said.

該公園管理局表示，3月20日，一隻疑似鉛中毒的生病雌神鷲被發現死亡，檢測結果顯示牠感染高致病性禽流感（HPAI）。

Two other birds later found dead also tested positive, while test results aren’t yet completed for five others, the park service said.

The birds are part of a population that moves throughout northern Arizona and southern Utah, including Grand Canyon National Park, the park service said.

【摘要2023.5.1.一.壹蘋】台灣羽球好手戴資穎，昨天在杜拜舉行的亞洲羽球錦標賽女單決賽，直落二輕取韓國安洗瑩，拿下生涯第3冠，號稱「全球主場」的戴資穎笑說：「好久沒在這麼熱鬧的情況下奪冠。」

台灣羽球一姐戴資穎不但球技精湛，被國外球評稱為「羽球魔術師」，其親切笑容更是征服各國球迷，而每次賽後戴資穎也都會和球迷們合影。戴資穎在接受中央社記者電訪時說：「很開心自從2017年後再度回到杜拜比賽，這裡有很多回憶，每次辦的比賽規格也都很高，更開心的是在疫情後，終於聽到滿場的加油和歡呼聲。」

談到生涯的第3座亞錦賽冠軍，戴資穎一如低調地說：「真的沒什麼特別的感覺，好像一路打上來的對手身體都有點不舒服，像今天的安洗瑩也是，感覺她打得有點辛苦。」

這場亞錦賽冠軍，是戴資穎自從去年7月的台北羽球公開賽後，相隔超過半年來的國際賽冠軍，加上5月起就是2024年巴黎奧運積分週期的起算日，也讓戴資穎更加專注。戴資穎說：「這場比賽就是調整自己的身體和節奏，重點還是放在奧運積分週期，希望自己在這未來的一年內可以保持好健康，這才是最重要的。」

戴資穎也成為亞錦賽史上，女單自中國葉釗穎、王儀涵及香港王晨以外，第4名拿到3次（以上）女單冠軍的名將，而戴資穎下週的世界排名也有機會上升至第3。

昨天的亞錦賽決賽，在杜拜當地有超過60名台商和僑胞到場加油，包括駐杜拜辦事處長張治平，以及從台灣特地飛到杜拜觀戰的中華民國羽球協會理事長張國祚，賽後都和戴資穎合照留念。

戴資穎勇奪賽史第3冠 締造61年首見紀錄【摘要2023.5.1.一.自由】台灣羽球一姐戴資穎今天在亞錦賽女單決賽以21：10、21：14擊敗世界排名第2的南韓好手安洗瑩，勇奪本季首冠，也是個人生涯第3面亞錦賽金牌，戴資穎也創下賽史61年來首見的紀錄。

Ya Ya the giant panda landed Thursday in Shanghai after departing from the Memphis Zoo in Tennessee, where she spent the past 20 years on loan.

大貓熊「丫丫」從她過去出借待了20年的田納西州曼菲斯動物園啟程後，週四降​​落上海。

The popular panda’s trip was closely followed online. “Finally back at home!” cheered one user in response to the news.

The zoo held a farewell party for Ya Ya earlier in April. Her departure marks the end of a 20-year loan agreement with the Chinese Association of Zoological Gardens.

Ya Ya was born Aug. 3, 2000, in Beijing. She lived at the Memphis Zoo along with Le Le, a male panda who was born July 18, 1998. Le Le died in February.

香港57％新冠康復者有腦霧 少用腦記事恐記憶力衰退

【摘要2023-04-27香港01／數因斯坦】不少新冠康復者都出現「長新冠」情況，有調查指，香港近六成新冠康復者自覺腦霧症狀，如記憶力衰退、專注力不足、話和思考能力變差及情緒困擾等，部分症狀與認知障礙的初期跡象近似，加上近年腦退化及認知障礙有年輕化趨勢，建議市民及早關注與維持腦部健康。

保健產品公司腦活益委託生活易於2023年2月通過網上問卷訪問617名受訪者，以瞭解港人腦部健康的情況。調查顯示，有六成受訪者表示在過去12個月曾經確診新冠肺炎，當中57%康復者自覺腦霧症狀，其中近七成人表示腦霧情況持續一個月以上至一年時間。

日常缺少「用腦」亦有可能影響記憶，調查發現，不少人都會依賴電子產品或其他工具記事，只有3%受訪者表示會用腦「自己記住」事情，此外有42%受訪者表示自己平日沒有進行任何腦部運動（如閱讀、計算、打麻將等活動），容易導致記憶力衰退。

近九成受訪者都表示自己有記憶力問題，包括突然忘記想說的話及想做的事、健忘、突然記不起密碼等。報告指，健忘、記憶力衰退、腦反應慢、思維紊亂等，都有機會是患上輕微認知障礙的初期跡象。另外，有不少受訪者都曾出現會影響大腦正常運作的情況，如睡眠品質差、頭痛或頭暈、失眠、憂鬱或焦慮等，情況令人關注。

根據醫管局疾病資訊平臺「智友站」資料，日常生活中多參與不同類型的興趣小組和活動，多動腦筋，有助延緩腦部退化的速度，而控制高血壓和糖尿病、健康飲食和定期運動，亦可減少由中風引起血管性認知障礙症的風險。此外，讓大腦攝取充足的營養，如蛋白質、奧米加3脂肪酸等多種營養素，以及養成運動習慣等，也有助維持腦部健康。

 

Alberta woman earns world record for donating blood

An 80-year-old Alberta woman who has been regularly donating blood for nearly six decades earned the Guinness World Record for the most whole blood donated (female).

一名80歲的加拿大亞伯達省女子，已定期捐血將近60年，創下女性捐血最多的金氏世界紀錄。

Guinness World Records said Josephine Michaluk began donating blood at age 22 in 1965, and in the years since she has donated a total 203 units of blood. A unit of blood is roughly equivalent to a pint.

金氏世界紀錄表示，喬瑟芬‧米查魯克從1965年22歲時開始捐血，多年來總共捐贈203單位的血量。1單位約等於1品脫（約0.47公升）。

Michaluk said her sister talked her into her first donation. "I decided I would join her and that was the beginning."

Michaluk, whose blood type is the in-demand O+, said she likes knowing her donations are helping others.

Feline-friendly Osaka Mayor Ichiro Matsui hopes to make the 2025 Osaka Kansai Expo the first one to allow pets, but a number of hurdles stand in the way.

（日本）大阪市的愛貓市長松井一郎希望把2025年大阪關西世界博覽會打造成第一個允許寵物入場的世博會，然此構想面臨重重阻礙。

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, the expo’s organizer, is making adjustments to allow people to enjoy the expo, whose theme is “inochi” (life), with their pets.

「2025年日本世界博覽會協會」的主辦單位正在進行調整，好讓民眾能與其寵物一起享受這場以いのち（生命）為主題的世博會。

However, challenges are piling up, such as how to take care of people with fur allergies, how to handle the pets’ waste, and how to secure the extra funding needed.
