Two-year-old Jalayne Sutherland dressed head-to-toe in gear to resemble Queen Elizabeth II for her Halloween costume.

Researchers found that women who have an index finger that’s shorter than their ring finger could actually have more strength.

The Austrian study looked specifically at handgrip strength and people’s 2D:4D ratios.

The 2D:4D ratio is the most studied digit ratio and is calculated by dividing the length of the index finger of a given hand by the length of the ring finger of the same hand.

Published in Proceedings of the Royal Society, Biological Sciences, the experts found women with a lower 2D:4D ratio had higher strength grip than those with a higher ratio.

【摘要2022.1.9.日.聯合報】英國每日郵報報導，加拿大蒙特婁高等商學院統計學者分析資料後宣稱，本世紀末，普通人將能活到130歲，人瑞將能活到180歲。

蒙特婁高等商學院決策學系助理教授貝爾齊勒說，在2100年之前，人類最長壽命紀錄會被打破。目前最高壽紀錄是法國女性珍妮．卡爾芒，1997年過世，享嵩壽122歲。

貝爾齊勒在「統計及其應用年度評論」期刊上發表論文警告說，更多人突破目前壽命上限，會對社會產生巨大影響，包括許多人因為極端長壽而身體微恙，使醫療費用飆高，此外，社會照顧、退休金等社會安全機制也將發生危機，因為會有更多人依靠這些機制，而更少人繳稅。

南加州大學預期壽命專家艾琳．克里明斯告訴英國泰晤士報：「醫療費用會高得嚇人。如果要讓他們健康地活著，那要花很多錢去更換他們的膝蓋、髖部、角膜、心瓣膜。或許我們做得到，就像維護老車一樣。不過終有一死。」

日本樂團透過群募來獲得資金【摘要2022.1.9.日.聯合報/MUZIK】繼去年以群眾募資的方式，成功募得所需資金後，日本大阪世紀交響樂團（センチュリー交響楽団）決定今年繼續以這樣的方式，來募集各項計畫擊樂團運營所需要的資金，目標是1000萬日圓。

這項名為《超越存亡，挑戰未來》的募資計畫，從去年的12月30號開始上架於群眾募資平台《READYFOR》，預計以三個月的時間來募得所需要的資金。所募得的資金將主要用在兩個方面，首先是樂團的觀眾擴張計劃，希望能讓更多的族群及不同年紀的受眾，能夠接觸到古典音樂；

其次是呼應聯合國的永續發展計畫，將致力於音樂教育的推廣及異業結合。

而說到異業結合，目前樂團的理事長桜井博志就是最佳的範例，他本身是知名日本清酒品牌《獺祭》的負責人，在去年接下樂團的理事長職務之後，就致力於推動樂團的轉型與再造，而透過群募的方式來拉近和民眾的距離，就是他上任之後所推動的。也期待日本大阪世紀交響樂團能在他的帶領之下，走出一條有別於其他傳統樂團經營方式的新道路。

Two dogs trained to detect an odor distinct to people who are sick with COVID-19 will visit three school districts in Bristol County this week.

2隻受過訓可偵測新冠肺炎患者身上特有氣味的狗兒，本週將造訪布里斯托郡3個學區。

A black Labrador named Huntah and a golden Lab called Duke can detect the smell of the virus on surfaces and will sit to indicate when they pick up the scent.

The dogs will visit schools in the Freetown, Lakeville and Norton school districts.

Taxi fleets in Thailand are giving new meaning to the term "rooftop garden," as they utilize the roofs of cabs idled by the coronavirus crisis to serve as small vegetable plots.

泰國計程車因為新型冠狀病毒危機而不能出車，但司機將車頂改造成小型菜園，為「空中花園」賦予新意義。

Workers from two taxi cooperatives assembled the miniature gardens using black plastic garbage bags stretched across bamboo frames. On top, they added soil in which a variety of crops, including tomatoes, cucumbers and string beans, were planted.

來自兩家計程車行的司機，在竹架上綁黑色塑膠垃圾袋，上頭鋪著種植蕃茄、小黃瓜和四季豆等各種作物的土壤，做成迷你菜園。
